{"id":5449,"date":"2024-06-19T13:20:33","date_gmt":"2024-06-19T13:20:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/notaninvasion.com\/?p=5449"},"modified":"2024-07-25T12:13:15","modified_gmt":"2024-07-25T12:13:15","slug":"semi-driver-in-deadly-colorado-highway-crash-is-illegal-immigrant-who-was-deported-from-us-multiple-times-ice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/notaninvasion.com\/?p=5449","title":{"rendered":"Semi driver in deadly Colorado highway crash is illegal immigrant who was deported from US multiple times: ICE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The man accused of wrecking a semi along a highway&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/us\/us-regions\/west\/colorado\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in Colorado<\/a>&nbsp;last week, killing one person and injuring another, is an illegal immigrant who has a long history of removal from the United States, authorities said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ignacio Cruz-Mendoza, 47, of Mexico, is facing reckless driving and homicide-related charges in connection with the June 11 crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mendoza was hauling a load of steep pipe on Hwy 285 near Conifer when he lost control of the semi, sending it rolling onto its side as it veered off the road,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/us\/crime\/police-and-law-enforcement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Colorado State Patrol<\/a>(CSP) said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A load of pipe and angle iron spilled out of the semi and onto five other vehicles. One person was killed and another was seriously injured, CSP said.
